I very much appreciated the time Richard took to understand our issues and the direction of travel we wished to undertake. Clearly our business is very different from F1 but there are parallels and clear business and team examples that could be extracted. At this conference, Richard worked with surgeon Allan Goldman of the Great Ormond Street Hospital to develop and deliver a presentation linking the two sectors requirements for leadership, teamwork and split second delivery. They drew upon lessons from Formula 1 and in particular the Pit Stop element where split seconds count and related these points into learnings for the medical world.
